Looktara — Refund Policy
Effective date: August 17, 2025
This Refund Policy applies to all purchases of Looktara products and services provided by MarkupX Brands
Technologies Private Limited (“Looktara”, “we”, “us”, “our”), including the website/app, the Chrome extension,
model training, image generation, credits, subscriptions, and team/business plans.
Plain-English summary:
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS, NO CREDITS. NOTHING.
You can cancel auto-renewal anytime, but past or current charges aren’t refundable. We may re-run
jobs or assist with troubleshooting at our discretion, but not refund. Where a refund is required by law
(e.g., duplicate/erroneous charge, verified unauthorized transaction), we’ll comply.
1) Scope & Relationship to Other Terms
This policy is part of and incorporated into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meanings in the Terms.
If this policy conflicts with non-waivable local law, the law prevails only to that extent.
2) All Sales Final (No Refunds)
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
● Digital services (e.g., personal model training, prompt → photo, reference+prompt image-to-image):
non-refundable once ordered, whether or not you download outputs.
● Subscriptions (monthly/annual): non-refundable, including partial periods.
● Credits/Top-ups: non-refundable, non-transferable, expire per plan rules.
● Team/Business plans: non-refundable, including unused seats/credits.
● Promotions, coupons, free trials, early-bird/intro pricing: non-refundable.
● Taxes, fees, currency conversion/FX, bank/issuer charges: non-refundable by Looktara.
Right of withdrawal/cooling-off: Because access to digital content/services begins immediately and consumes
compute resources, you acknowledge and agree that you waive any cooling-off right to the extent permitted by law.
3) Cancellations & Auto-Renewal
● You may cancel auto-renewal at any time in your account.
● Cancellation stops future renewal charges; it does not refund the current term.
● Access continues until the end of the paid term.
● Timezone for billing cycles: Asia/Kolkata (UTC+05:30) unless your invoice states otherwise.
4) Non-Refundable Situations (Examples)
Refunds will not be provided for, including but not limited to:
1. Dissatisfaction with outputs (style, likeness, “not what I imagined”).
2. Failure to follow upload guidelines (poor lighting, low resolution, inconsistent angles).
3. Change of mind, buyer’s remorse, inactivity, forgetting to cancel.
4. Account suspension/termination for violations of the Terms or law.
5. Local device/network issues (hardware limits, browser/OS conflicts, ad-blockers, corporate firewalls, ISP
outages).
6. Third-party platform behavior (e.g., LinkedIn/X UI changes, rate limits).
7. Delays due to high demand, maintenance, or queue times.
8. Expired credits or unused seats in team plans.
9. Gift cards/vouchers (where offered): not redeemable for cash, non-refundable.
10.Payments to resellers/marketplaces (see §8): governed by their policies.
5) Limited Remedies (Non-Monetary)
Where feasible, we may—at our sole discretion—offer one of the following instead of any refund:
● Re-run a failed job once after we verify a service-side incident.
● Troubleshooting assistance and best-practice guidance to improve results.
● One-time account credit (rare, discretionary).
These remedies are not guaranteed and do not create ongoing rights.
6) When We Will Issue a Refund (Required by Law)
We will process a monetary refund only if and to the extent mandated by applicable law, such as:
● Duplicate billing or accidental double charge for the same order/subscription.
● System error causing an incorrect fee amount.
● Verified unauthorized transaction (see §7) when you promptly report and we confirm it.
Refunds—when legally required—are sent only to the original payment method; processing times depend on your
bank/issuer.
7) Unauthorized Transactions & Chargebacks
● If you suspect unauthorized use, contact us first at team@looktara.com with subject: “Billing –
Unauthorized”. Include order ID(s), date/time, and the last 4 digits of your card (do not send full card
numbers).
● We may temporarily suspend the account to protect you while investigating.
● If you file a chargeback contrary to this policy, we may challenge it with your agreement records, usage
logs, and outputs. Accounts involved in chargebacks may be restricted or closed.
Timeliness: Report unauthorized transactions promptly (recommended within 7 days of charge posting) so we can
help your bank investigate.
8) Third-Party Marketplaces, Resellers, App Stores
If you purchased through a third party (e.g., a marketplace, in-app store, or reseller), that seller’s billing and refund
rules apply. We generally cannot refund those purchases. Contact the seller directly. We can assist with technical
verification upon request.
9) How to Request a Billing Review (Not a Refund)
Email team@looktara.com (subject: “Billing – Review”) and include:
● Full name, account email, and (if applicable) company name.
● Order ID(s), invoice number(s), and dates.
● Description of the issue (e.g., duplicate charge).
● Evidence/screenshots (bank statement with sensitive data redacted).
We’ll acknowledge receipt and review. If a refund is legally required, we will process it to the original payment
method. Otherwise, we may offer an appropriate non-monetary remedy (§5) at our discretion.
10) Technical Limits & Service Availability
Service is provided as-is and as-available (see Terms). We do not provide pro-rata credits for downtime, queue
delays, or feature changes. For planned maintenance, we aim to minimize disruption; this does not create refund
rights.
11) Pricing, Currency, Taxes & Fees
● Prices are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for applicable taxes/duties.
● FX/currency conversions, issuer fees, and cross-border charges are set by your bank/processor and are
not refundable by Looktara.
● If a tax rate changes after purchase, it does not retroactively change the paid amount.
12) Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates apply prospectively from the effective date shown above.
Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
